If people at meta and Google aren't getting in, no point of someone from Fid to even bother applying. It's like some random fat guy trying to put his name in the NBA draft. I've realized I'm never going to amount to nothing so just going to collect paychecks and retire with a happy pot of cash in a couple of years. 🙂

Where is the "not smart enough to bother applying" option

Damn. Can you tell me more about what rounds you had for onsite? And what role was it for?

I’m not smart enough to do training/data stuff so I’d probably end up working on infra, which sounds 🤮

Anthropic's loop was by far the HARDEST I have ever done.
For context I almost never fail a loop. I've done Google, Meta, TikTok, 2S, HRT, Netflix, and more. Passed all of them. Anthropic is the first loop I have failed in many years. NGL it hurts, this is the only AI company I wanted to join. Have only good things to say about my interviewers & what I've seen of the culture. Very smart people.

Participants Share Their Experiences

• Applied, Online 100%: Phone screen went well, Onsite felt like it went well but I was quizzed about Dario's book that I didn't read. One interviewer seemed held up on the fact I went to a midwest public university. They mentioned they went to Stanford and Harvard for grad two different times. No offer.

• Cleared the whole interview process (2 HM calls, multiple Recruiter calls, 6 1:1 leadership interviews in two stages). Still got rejected after going through all of these progressive stages. All took a month even though I was clear I had two other offers.

• Applied back in December, started the loop in February. CodeSignal OA, recruiter call, phone screen, hiring manager call, then virtual onsite. Finished virtual onsite and a week later got rejected.
